P.R.O. Kids
On Thursday, April 8, 2010, Baxter Milk joined with other businesses in the community in support of the P.R.O. Kids Out of the Park FUNraising dinner. Held at the Delta Brunswick Ballroom, this dinner is an annual event that raises funds for P.R.O. This nonprofit program, operating out of the Leisure Services Department of the City of Saint John, provides funds for youth to get involved in recreational activity. This year’s guest speaker was Silken Laumann, a championship rower who won a silver medal at the 1996 summer Olympics in Atlanta.
Haiti Support
Baxter’s family of employees across the Maritimes donated for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Across the country Saputo, through matching funds and their corporate donation, raised money for Haitian Relief efforts.
United Way
Our Saputo family is always ready to lend its support to our community. The Maritime employees donated through payroll deductions to the 2009 United Way Campaign.
Christmas Families
For more than 20 years, Baxter’s Saint John employees have been making the season bright for hundreds of families in need. Through our employees’ generosity, we were able to help a few families have a Merry Christmas in 2009.
